Laredo/Lake Amistad National Recreational Area, Texas

Off early and got to Laredo at mid day. Hot, hot, hot. Got our pots and parrots. Fred ate his lunch on the move but later needed to stop for a nap. We really need to stop for a mid day break. Am enjoying the wide open spaces and the tough vegetation that survives here. I have ideas for things to draw. they always look so much better in my head, Through Del Rio and out to Lake Amistad at about 8:30PM. Looks barren and bare. ¶ 5:04 PM
