Drove out to White Sands this morning. It is awesome. Miles and miles of white gypsum dunes. I keep being surprised by all the plants and animals that survive in such an unfriendly place. Lots of cactus in bloom. Saw little lizards with white bodies and beautiful blue tails. They dig holes in the sand and nap in the hottest part of the day. Good signs along the way. I wish the littles could be here to slide down the dunes. We need to go back tomorrow, we forgot the camera and we stamped the wrong page in our passport. I'm happy to go back. Checked out the commissary and BX, not too impressive. Took care of some domestics. We learned that Jigger has adopted the throw rugs as her pee pads. Drove to Las Cruces with Hank and Maxine and had dinner in a nice Mexican restaurant. Great mariachis, spicy food, beautiful drive and good company.
