There is no shade here. The lake is on two sides of us. Tough thorn trees and cactus that I seem to remember are called nopales everywhere else. Fred went out on the lake with Dick Wolf for a short tour. No fishing today as bad weather is expected. Later, we went to Walmart-its ubiquitous(?). Bought the eraser and lotion I went for and about $50 more including pfil the pfish. We had big wind around 7PM and the awning jambed and could not be rolled up. Heavy rain and hail. We weathered it okay and the awning survived. Fred and the old fellow next lot repaired it when the storm passed. They sat out late and swapped fish stories. Jigger was not scared during the storm. Saw an oriole, red finch, deer, cotton tails as well as lot of other birds we know.
